The Tenby Players street theatre group, led by Mike Thorne and including Maggie Thorne, Len Harvey and Rhob Pattinson, again delighted large crowds in Tudor Square on August 10, even though the second performance of the day had its share of rain.
'A Potted History of Tenby', sponsored by Texaco, has not only been recognised by the laughter and applause of the spectators, but all collection proceeds have been donated to Tenby Cottage Hospital.
The street theatre will be performed again in Tudor Square this Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, August 24 and 25, at 1.30 pm and 2.15 pm each day.
The Players' summer production 'Wanted, One Body', sponsored by the Yorkshire Building society, starts a five-week run of Thursday evening performances at the De Valence Pavilion on August 28 - doors open 7.15 pm and curtain up at 8 pm - up to and including September 25.
Tickets for this classic Whitehall Theatre comedy/mystery are £5 (concessions £4) and are available at the De Valence cafe counter, the Kilgetty Tourist Information Office, Reohorne Amusements in Pembroke Dock and in the De Valence Pavilion from 7.15 pm on performance evenings.
'Wanted, One Body' will be the Players' second entry in this year's Pembrokeshire Full-Length Play Festival, following the group's acclaimed production of 'The Lion in Winter' in the spring.
