In what has been a record breaking year for Angle RNLI Lifeboat, the crew were paged at 7.03pm on the evening of Christmas Eve, for its 100th shout of 2025, to investigate multiple red flare reports in the Lawrenny area.

Alongside Dale Coastguard Rescue Team, the lifeboat conducted a thorough search of the area between the Cleddau Bridge and Lawrenny.

With nothing found, the crew were stood down with the reports believed to be a false alarm with good intent.

A spokesperson for Angle RNLI said: “In what has been an incredibly busy year for the crew, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank the staff at Milford Haven Coastguard for their excellent coordination and cooperation throughout 2025.”
