Celebrating the heart of the seaside town - the Tenby Observer Community Kindness awards will be taking place once again this year.
The annual event which brings together residents, local groups and civic leaders shines a bright light on the unsung heroes whose everyday generosity, dedication and warmth make Tenby such a unique and caring place to live.
The awards which will take place at the De Valence Pavilion venue on Upper Frog Street, on Friday, October 9, will celebrate volunteers form the backbone of town life across Tenby - from those maintaining public gardens and running activities, to individuals leading local support groups, organizing heritage events and giving up their weekends for community projects.
As anticipation builds for the annual Tenby Observer Community Kindness Awards, Tenby Town Council said that it is delighted to announce its official sponsorship of the prestigious ‘Community Volunteer Award’.
A spokesperson for the Town Council remarked: “By sponsoring the ‘Community Volunteer Award’, Tenby Town Council aims to publicly recognize and thank the extraordinary individuals who give their time selflessly to enrich the lives of others, asking for nothing in return.
“The sponsorship reflects the Council’s ongoing commitment to fostering civic pride and supporting grassroots initiatives across the town. Whether through funding community hubs, backing eco-friendly projects or partnering with local charities, the council continues to champion the power of local volunteering.
Tenby’s Mayor, Cllr Dai Morgan said: "Kindness and volunteer spirit are at the absolute core of what makes Tenby so special. Behind almost every successful event, beautiful green space or support network in our town, there are dedicated volunteers working quietly behind the scenes.
“Tenby Town Council is immensely proud to sponsor the ‘Community Volunteer Award’ on October 9th to say a proper, heartfelt 'thank you' to those who give so much to our community."

You can also pop into Tenby Town Council’s office at the De Valence Pavilion between 9.30am and 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, pick up a nomination form and post it in the collection box.
The categories are: Young Hero Award, Community Business Award, Good Neighbour Award, Community Volunteer Award, Eco Warrior Award, and the Tenby Observer Special Award
The Community Kindness Awards ceremony will take place on Friday, October 9th, bringing people together to applaud nominees across all categories and celebrate the remarkable community spirit alive across Tenby.
