Sir,
Many thanks for you article front page, February 8, 'Tenby improvements'. I am writing now, but fearing it would be too late to suggest further improvements to the work at Park Road, the bus station and multi-storey car park.
Speaking on behalf of 50-plus trade vans that I see locally and to the few that I speak to, it has long been a problem for parking if you are over the height restriction to purchase goods at the supermarket.
We are taking a risk of a fine and annoying bus stop users by parking on double yellows. Our only other choice is to shop at the 'higher price' convenience shops outside the town walls.
Please could I also suggest to aid congestion in Tenby and especially in the summer months when the roads are closed, we can access our money without clogging up the town's long-stay car parks and limited street parking that is accessible if you own a large van; a bank cash point (non-profit) outside the town walls perhaps with a pulling in bay to assure traffic flow! A no-brainer surely?
J.E. Hills,
Tenby.
