Many Tenby residents will remember Percy Howells, of Howells the Jewellers in St. George's Street. Percy, along with his father William Howells and James Truscott, are the subjects of a talk entitled 'The Goldsmiths of Tenby' by Neil Westerman.

As well as providing a background to the two principal pre-war jewellery businesses in Tenby, the talk will also include details of how and where the research was undertaken.

If you have ever considered conducting any historical research of your own, but don't know where to start, this talk will hopefully point you in the right direction.

The talk will also provide an opportunity for seeing and handling examples of 'The Famous Tenby Jug' sold by both Howells' and Truscott's.

The date for your diary is Tuesday, November 24, at 7.30 pm. The venue is Tenby Bowling Club in Sutton Street.
