On Wednesday, about 30 members met at Stackpole Mencap Garden Centre for a walk around the gardens, and to hear about their history. They then headed back to the café for an afternoon cream tea, where members were intrigued to learn that the café walls were made of straw. Afterwards, some members picked strawberries, while others bought vegetables, plants and sweetpeas. It was just a perfect hot sunny day to visit the gardens. Next Wednesday , June 25, the club is to meet at 2 pm at Carew Control Towers for a talk by Rob Lewis. The following week is Fish Week and the club is meeting at Giltar Hotel, Tenby, on the Wednesday. Please reserve your place with Linda as soon as possible.
