TENBY 2NDS 2
CAMROSE 2NDS 2
After playing brilliantly the week before against Herbrandston, in which Deryn Brace and James Brown secured a 2-0 win, Tenby travelled the long road to Camrose with their eyes on the three points.
Phil Catlin and Ben Brookes were brought in for some missing regulars Peter Horsley and Alun Morgan - but would youth help over the experience lost?
The game started well with Tenby putting constant pressure on the Camrose defence. Chances went begging from numerous corners and free-kicks, with Tom Davies coming closest.
Twenty minutes in, though, the deadlock was broken when James Brown was sent chasing a long ball from defence and the 'soul singer' pulled it back for Seb Palin to tap home.
After some badly timed challenges and both teams seeing players booked, Tenby took their eyes off the game and Camrose equalised. Jammy was then sent off!
Tenby never seemed to get back into the first half and Camrose capitalised adding a second.
The half-time team talk was short but strong and as usual Tenby's 10 took to the pitch thinking it possible.
Tenby couldn't get the passing game going on the bog of a pitch thanks to the week of rain, but they created chance after chance, with Tom Davies, Brookes and Brown coming close. Not to say Camrose squandered chance after chance, and then it came, a great ball from Brown and on the second attempt Palin beat the oncoming 'keeper.
The game ended 2-2 and well done to all the boys who battled hard, even Jammy.
GIRLS FOOTBALL
Tenby U14s girls stepped up a gear this week. Their first game was against St. Davids A who had previously beaten them 3-0.
Liz Nicholas scored Tenby's goal after some sterling work by all the Tenby squad. Annie Davies ran well and was well supported by an in-form Kaylie Davies.
Penny Young and Rebecca Bevan played well in defence and Lauren Wright saved several shots at goal. St. Davids snatched a late equaliser just before the final whistle.
St. Davids B were their next opposition and despite having most of the play and several excellent shots, they only managed to score one goal through Anne Davies.
This was a good squad performance.
Under 14s: Lauren Wright, Kaylie Davies, Annie Davies, Liz Nicholas, Penny Young, Rebecca Bevan.
Tenby's unbeaten Under 12s A side met Neyland Terriers and Neyland Athletic in their two matches. They won both games convincingly 11-0 and 10-0.

Jodie Fecci had a very quiet time in the Tenby goal and Victoria Brace and Joanne Rowe played well in midfield.

Under 12s A squad: Jodie Fecci, Joanna Rowe, Danielle Jones, Jade Manning, Jenna Wright, Nikki Furlong, Victoria Brace.
First match for the Under 12 B team on Sundaty, November 25, was against Pembroke. Holly Cloake played in goal the first half and saved several shots at goal. Sophie John then took over in the second half and had some remarkable saves.
Nia Thomas and Gracie played up front with Bethan Roberts and made a few fast breaks which unfortunately did not end with successful shots at goal. Sophie Rees covered well in midfield to keep at the Pembroke attack.
Sophie John had a successful shot at goal in the first half which resulted in a final result of 1-0 for the B team.
The B team met up with Tenby A's in their second match and both teams were quite evenly matched. The Tenby A's were a little older, heavier and slightly more mature in their play. The B's had a few unsuccessful shots at goal, and Gracie unfortunately missed with a superb shot at goal in the first half.
Sophie Rees's shot at goal in the second half just missed the goal and hit the post.
Unluckily for the B's, a late shot at goal in the second half saw the ball rebound off goalkeeper Sophie John's gloves and go in.
Final result was a 1-0 win for Tenby A team.
Tenby B team: Sophie Rees, Sophie John, Gracie, Bethan Roberts, Holly Cloake and Nia Thomas.
Many thanks to Marie Davies for refereeing and to all parents for their help with transport and support.
On December 2, the B team again kicked off with a match against Pembroke. Bethan Mearns played well in defence, with Gracie, Nia and Bethan up front. Final result was a 1-0 defeat for Tenby.
Neyland Terriers was their weak match, which went a lot better.
The girls passed a lot more effectively and Bethan Roberts played exceptionally well in goal and was unfortunate not to score in the second half. Holly Cloake, as always, was solid and Nia and Gracie were quick down the wing. Becka Mearns played exceptionally well in goal and defence.
Final result was a 2-0 win for Tenby.
Team: Holly Cloake, Bethan Mearns, Bethan Roberts, Gracie and Nia Thomas.
