CAREW U12s 0
TENBY U12s 6
The Picnic Basket sponsored Under 12s played away at Carew. It was a memorable game for Tenby's Adam Johns, who had played for Carew in the season's earlier meeting.
Tenby opened the scoring after some even play when Billy Vaughan put Guto Griffiths away on the wing. Griffiths crossed and Jordan Lloyd was able to get a good touch to slot the ball home.
Tenby were unlucky not to score more in the first half after creating many chances.
Lloyd got his second just after half-time after a good run down the left flank by fullback Richard Jones.
Tenby's third was in similar fashion, but this time Gavin Kinsey beat several players on the left, crossed to Griffiths who laid the ball off to Adam Johns to score past his former team-mates.
Johns scored again with a penalty after Vaughan had been brought down in the box.
Jamie Robins got his name on the score-sheet again this week after Aaron Goldsmith put him clear, with Griffiths scoring the final goal with a right-foot shot.
Kinsey was unlucky not to score on numerous occasions and Scott Helmich made some good overlapping runs from right-back.
Joe Scourfield made some goal saving tackles in defence and Richard Thomas in the Tenby goal had little to do at times.
Squad: Richard Thomas, Jamie Robins, Joe Scourfield, Richard Jones, Scott Helmich, Aaron Goldsmith, Billy Vaughan (capt), Adam Johns, Jordan Lloyd, Guto Griffiths, Gavin Kinsey.
Thanks to Mike for running the line and all the parents for transport and support.
GIRLS INDOOR LEAGUE
The Tenby Under 12 A team's first match this week was against a newly-formed Pembroke Boro team.
Jodie Fecci played well in goal, with Jenna Wright in defence and Victoria Brace and Leila May helping out.
Joanna Rowe was striker and she scored two good goals.
Carly Brown came on at half-time and was playing well until she became injured.
Tenby's other goals in their 4-0 victory were scored by Jenna Wright.
Squad: Jenna Wright, Jodie Fecci, Leila May, Carly Brown, Joanne Rowe, Victoria Brace.
Tenby Under 14s are going through a rough patch and lost both their matches 1-0.
In a well-fought match against Johnston, Tenby were unlucky to lose, with good performances by the whole squad.
However, against Goodwick it was another story and they were well-beaten.
They need to start picking up points if they are to challenge for the league title.
Squad: Liz Nicholas, Annie Davies, Kaylie Davies, Penny Young, Rebecca Bevan, Lauren Wright.
HUNDLETON U16s 3
TENBY U16s 8
The Lewis, Lewis and Co., Solicitors, sponsored Tenby Under 16s travelled to Hundleton in a game that certainly didn't set the world of football alight. Played on a damp and heavy pitch, the match mirrored the conditions and only sporadically did Tenby play to their capabilities.
The visitors opened the scoring when Tom Hilling slotted a lovely through ball to Marc Smith to place wide of the home 'keeper, after only two minutes.
The score was doubled when, following a corner, Matthew Birch bundled the ball over the line, and the same player added a third when his speculative shot slipped through the Hundleton goalie's hands.
The home side threatened on only a few occasions and usually from long clearances from their over-worked 'keeper. They managed to pull a goal back from a well-taken free-kick.
However, Jack Christopher coolly lobbed the goalie to retain Tenby's three-goal lead, but the home side grabbed a second minutes before half-time.
David Day volleyed in a Dan Cope corner at the beginning of the second-half and got another from a free-kick which the home 'keeper could only parry into his own goal.
Another Cope corner was met by Christopher, whose shot struck the crossbar and was headed in by Darren Taylor.
Hundleton were awarded a penalty after a spot of shirt pulling, before Day completed the scoring, after Christopher had put him in space to collect a well-deserved hat-trick.
Only captain David Day and Darren Taylor stood out in a rather lethargic performance by the Seasiders.
Tenby squad: L. Hurlow, T. Hilling, M. Beare, S. Smith, D. Taylor, D. Cope, D. Day, D. Otton, M. Birch, J. Christopher, M. Smith, M. Davis.
HUNDLETON U9s 0
TENBY U9s 4
Tenby Under 9s took to the pitch at Hundleton for only their second match of the season and their enthusiasm for the game was still as high as ever.
After early pressure, a corner from Curtis Hurlow was volleyed in by Gareth Warlow, giving the home 'keeper no chance. Several other chances fell to Tenby, with both Daniel Edwards and Alex Heesom going close, but good defending kept the score at 1-0 until half-time.
The visitors took control in the second-half and they increased their lead when little Oliver Worley shot through a crowd of players to grab number two. A neat pass by Leo Moreland found Philip Horsley on the left and his cross was tapped in at the far post by Curtis Hurlow.
Rob Fairlie took over the position between the posts, allowing Jake Roberts to form a solid defence with Greg Lees-Griffiths. Cairan Broomhead moved up to midfield and made several strong runs down the left flank.
A super shot by Broomhead almost brought him a goal, but he was denied by the woodwork. Ashley Smith rounded off the game with another good shot from an acute angle.
Thanks to parents for the support and transport.
