TENBY U14s 7
ST. CLEARS U14s 3
An early kick-off in sunshine saw Tenby grab a great opener in the first few minutes, Hugo finding the back of the net from a free-kick just inside the St. Clears half.
What followed was some great football, Tenby dominant in all areas of the pitch, looking sharp, with James making the most of it, securing a first half hat-trick.
St. Clears opened their account with a well-taken goal, before Elliot scored, giving Tenby a comfortable 5-1 half-time lead.
A great finish from Joe made it six for Tenby after the break, who then sat back and let the visitors have a glimmer of hope with a soft goal.
A great pass from Corey saw Hugo blast home number seven.
Sam tried valiantly to secure a birthday goal as St. Clears were gifted a third, but Tenby ran out comfortable winners at the final whistle.
Thanks to coaches John and James, Ted on the line, sponsors TP Hughes and Jameston Village Stores, and the supporters.
Tenby squad: George McBeth, Cheyne Lloyd, Tom Grover, Sam Butler, Toby Rossiter, Hugo Wellum, Joe Worley, Rhys Nicholas, Nathan Farmiloe, Elliot Goldsmith, James Adie, Corey Morris, Daniel Fairlie.
CLARBESTON ROAD U16s 0
TENBY U16s 16
Tenby Under 16s, sponsored by Willow Carpentry, won their penultimate league game with a convincing victory over lowly Clarbeston Road.
Tenby dominated from start to finish and gave their goal difference an added boost.
Tenby scored eight goals in each half, with Jordan Richards leading the way with six, Curtis Hurlow, Declan Carroll and Ashley Smith had two each, while Ashley Andrews, Will Thomas, Jason Finnegan and Greg Lees-Griffiths grabbed one apiece.
The Seasiders altered their line-up several times to cover any circumstances which may arise over the coming weeks, during which time they have both the Pembrokeshire and West Wales Cup semi-finals to play, which will be a far sterner test than this outing.
Tenby squad: J. Roberts, D. Edwards, P. Elliott, C. Hurlow, G. Lees-Griffiths, A. Andrews, J. Richards, J. Finnegan, G. Warlow, W. Thomas, A. Smith, P. Horsley, J. Delahunty, D. Carroll.
CLARBESTON ROAD U13s 2
TENBY U13s 2
Tees R Us sponsored Tenby Under 13s came close to picking up three valuable away points in an exciting match at Clarbeston Road.
The home team's greater ball possession enabled them to keep sustained pressure on the Tenby goal, and after Lewis Roberts did well to win a one-on-one with Tommy John, Clarbeston attacked again and a high lob into the top corner put the home team 1-0 ahead.
Tenby were temporarily disheartened by this setback, but Jimmy Bridges fired in a hard drive just before the interval to level the scores.
Tenby looked much more resilient after the break, with Rivers doing a good job in defence, Mansbridge tackling back well and man-of-the-match Conbeer pushing forward.
From a well-taken corner by Bridges, Conbeer headed powerfully in to give Matthew Davies no chance in the home goal and Tenby a 2-1 lead.
Clarbeston countered quickly down their right and Tenby defended a bit too carelessly to concede a penalty which John gratefully converted for an equaliser.
Any neutral spectators would have been impressed by the effort and organisation of both teams in what was an exciting match.
Tenby squad: Lewis Roberts, Luke Conbeer, Marcus Read, Shaun Whitfield, Nathan Wilson, Elliot Rivers, Richard Tebbutt, George Wilkins, James Bridges, Ellis Morgan, Jerome Mansbridge, Rob Davies, Aaron James, Brandon Taylor-Monaghan.
Tenby U9s 11
Kilgetty u9s 0
Tenby Under 9s eventually got to play a game last week after having most of their January and February fixtures cancelled due to the bad weather. The boys have been totally committed, though, and have continued to train hard.
On a glorious sunny morning the pitch at Kilgetty was in fine condition and helped both teams play some excellent football.
Tenby turned out to be the stronger side on this occasion running away with the victory 11-0. Kilgetty must be praised for their performance and there efforts until the final whistle.
All of the Tenby squad played their part in this convincing victory from Fletcher Dyer in goal, to the defensive efforts of Finn Bowie, who managed to score a fine hat-trick, including possibly the goal of the season, Ben Millwood, who has found his position in the box for attacking corners, resulting in a bullet header in the top corner, to Dylan Scotcher, who never lets an opponent past without a battle. Ben Rossiter sat tight with Dylan in defence and made some fine interceptions to ensure Tenby kept a clean sheet on this occasion.
Midfield played some fine long passes around the field and also moved forward well to support the attackers.
Harry Williams polished off a cameo performance with two fine goals, both some distant out of the box. Billy Lawrence, who passed the ball effortlessly around the park, stole a goal late on with a cheeky left foot. Harrison Duckett was back to his best, like a terrier on the field, scoring two goals for his efforts and, the often lone striker, Harry Cook, showed he is still Tenby's number one target man, showing off some fine skill to link up the play with his midfield - also managing to score two goals to ensure he would be part of the 'playground' talk on Monday.
A solid performance all around considering the boys hadn't played together for some time. Well done.
