Johnston U16s 3
Tenby U16s 5
Tenby Under 16s, sponsored by Willow Carpentry, won the league championship, with two games to go, after this win, to claim their third title in five years.
Tenby started the game full of confidence and exerted constant pressure on the Tigers, but failed to turn any of this pressure into goals.
However, a long ball saw Will Thomas stretch his legs and outpace the covering defence to slide the ball home. Ashley Andrews increased their lead from the penalty spot after Jordan Richards was brought down inside the area.
Johnston had chances to equalise, but Jake Roberts pulled off two brilliant saves to deny them, but was finally beaten by a well-taken shot.
With five minutes to the break, Declan Carroll volleyed in from a cool 18 yards to make it 3-1.
Tenby controlled the game for long periods and should have put it beyond Johnston's reach, but the home side's never-say-die attitude was rewarded when they cut the deficit again.
Thomas for Tenby then outsprinted the Tigers defence to give the visitors back their two-goal advantage, while the Seasiders' last goal saw Carroll score from inside the box with perfection.
Johnston had the last say when they scored their third goal.

Tenby u13s 0
West End u13s 3
Tenby's hopes of a semi-final place in the West Wales Cup came to an end on a partly waterlogged pitch as they lost 3-0 to the Swansea-based West End.
The first 10 minutes were almost totally dominated by West End, but Shaun Whitfield organised the defence well. When Tenby broke away, Elliott Rivers and Ellis Morgan looked to have the pace to turn the visitors' defence, but their efforts came to nothing around the edge of the penalty area.
West End took the lead with a hard low shot which was deflected past the alert Luke Conbeer in the Tenby goal, and this proved a wake-up call for Tenby, who created two real chances in the West End goalmouth. Robert Davies saw his shot cleared off the line, but other resultant shots carried no pace in the mud.
West End went further ahead just before half-time when a run down the Tenby right ended with a cross to an unmarked forward, who slotted the ball in from close range.
Tenby came out with more vigour in the second half and made West End work hard to preserve their 2-0 lead. Breakaways by Ellis Morgan and Shaun Whitfield were thwarted by the midfield mud and a professional foul, that could have seen the goalkeeper sent off, and attempts by James Bridge and George Wilkins were blocked.
Tenby kept looking for a goal, but still soaked up pressure from a mobile attack. Luke Conbeer was outstanding in goal, but any efforts to get back on terms were finally ended when West End scored a third goal from close range.
Tenby squad: Luke Conbeer, Jacob Dent, Marcus Read, Shaun Whitfield, Nathan Wilson, Elliott Rivers, George Wilkins, James Bridges, Rob Davies, Ellis Morgan, Ryan Price, Aaron James, Kieran Machin.
Tenby player-of-the-match: Shaun Whitfield.
Thanks go to the parents for working so hard to get the pitch 'playable'.
