CAMROSE U16s 0
TENBY U16s 3
The Willow Carpentry sponsored Tenby Under 16s secured an important victory over their old rivals and last year's champions, Camrose.
Played at Camrose, in near perfect conditions, the game start at a fast pace, with both sides looking slightly nervous.
During the opening half, Tenby twice hit the post through Ashley Smith and Jordan Richards and Will Thomas also had one cleared off the line, but the home side held firm.
At the other end, Rob Morgan had Camrose's best chance, but fired just wide.
Tenby had Declan Carroll sent off for two yellow cards, but the tackles looked innocuous and the visitors had to play the remaining 15 minutes of the half with only 10 men. Tenby's defence was solid, with Alex Heesom, Greg Lees-Griffiths, Dan Edwards and captain, Curtis Hurlow superbly keeping Camrose inside their own half until the half-time whistle, with the score at nil-nil.
Things were evened up after three minutes of the second half when the referee sent off the home side's, Daniel Bryce, for again two questionable yellow cards. This seemed to spur Tenby on and within five minutes of this incident they were one up. Man-of-the-match Jordan Richards powerfully heading home an Ashley Andrews corner. Like a bus, you wait a long time for one, then two turn up in two minutes and so it was. A long clearance from Jake Roberts bounced kindly for Will Thomas and he hit a low left-footed shot into the far corner of the Camrose goal.
Tenby were full of confidence now and Jason Finnegan almost made it three when his shot was well saved following a good run. However, it was goal number three minutes later, when Finnegan threated a neat ball through to Richards who made no mistake from six yards.
Camrose and especially Morgan tried to reduce the arrears. Morgan had a brilliant shot which brought an equally brilliant save from Roberts in the Tenby goal and another shot which skimmed the top of the crossbar. However, the visiting defence held firm for the last 10 minutes to claim this all-important victory.

PENDINE U14s 1
What a glorious morning to welcome league newcomers Pendine to The Clicketts.
Pre-match rumours spoke of several Pendine players being six-foot tall, but surely the formidable, high-scoring, T. P. Hughes sponsored side, unbeaten in the first four games of the season, would be able to cope.
It was a bit of a wake-up call for the home side as Pendine grabbed an early goal, but Tenby's reply was emphatic - James pounced on an accurate free-kick from Jack to open their account, closely followed by Rhys, who was to be rampant on the left throughout the game, scoring his first of the season, Jack again providing the assist.
Next to add his name to the season's scorers was Toby, looking sharp, closely followed by Cheyne, showing skilful footwork, finding the back of the net for his first of the season too.
Pendine could do nothing to stop Tenby, who were in full flight. A superbly flighted corner from Hugo found the back of the net off a Pendine player and Tenby's overwhelming pressure gave Cheyne his second goal on the day.
A great half, with some great football, which saw Tenby 6-0 up at the break.
In the second half and, although Tenby had majority possession, chances were squandered, players spent too long on the ball and the pace slowed. Rhys again tore down the left and secured his second goal. The back line of Cheyne, Tom, Jack and Sam were again unbeatable, with George picking up anything that came in his direction. Elliot grabbed a brace towards the end of the game and Tenby ran out comfortable winners.
An awesome first half performance secured this victory and lessons can be learned from this. Five out of five now - a cracking start to the season. Well done to all the players.
Thanks to coach John, Ted on the line and our kit sponsors T. P. Hughes. The team have also been fortunate to secure training/warm-up tops from Jameston Village Stores - thank you. These will no doubt be appreciated as our long awaited brief Indian summer disappears! Thanks also to ref Alan and the touchline gang, in fine voice as usual!
Squad: George McBeth, Cheyne Lloyd, Tom Grover, Jack Murphy, Sam Butler, Hugo Wellum, Joe Worley, Toby Rossiter, Rhys Nicholas, James Adie, Elliot Goldsmith, Nathan Farmiloe, Ben Simmons.
Camrose Under 13s 0 Tenby Under 13s 7
Tenby Under 13s put on a superb display of football against their Camrose counterparts. They were thwarted several times early on by a very brave Camrose's 'keeper, when they really should have been three-nil up after five minutes.
Still, this did not deter their spirit and wave after wave of attacks followed. A slight positional change saw Elliot Rivers score Tenby's important first goal when he received a lovely weighted pass from Ryan Price and cut in from the right to chip the 'keeper.
Despite having most of the game, Tenby only managed one more goal before half-time, scored by Richard Tebbutt after several deflected shots from George Wilkins and Jimmy Bridges. Shaun Whitfield was outstanding in defence, helped by Robert Davies, Nathan Wilson and Jacob Dent.
The second half saw Tenby dominate the game, with Ellis Morgan scoring the first of his three goals. He ran almost half the length of the pitch, latching onto a through ball from Wilkins, to calmly slot the ball past the 'keeper.
Price scored Tenby's fourth after following up a Bridges long shot. Whitfield headed in from a well-taken corner, with Morgan then scoring twice more before the final whistle.
Lewis Roberts kept a third clean sheet in a row and Tenby showed the strength of their squad system, with Luke Conbeer, Jack Tranter and Marcus Read all coming on and making valuable contributions to the game.
Tenby supporters found it very difficult to nominate a man-of-the-match as the whole squad had put on an amazing performance, but eventually it was narrowed down to three!
Tenby squad: Lewis Roberts, Robert Davies, Nathan Wilson, Richard Tebbutt, Luke Conbeer, Elliot Rivers, James Bridges, Ryan Price, Shaun Whitfield, Jack Tranter, George Wilkins, Ellis Morgan, Jacob Dent, Marcus Read.
Players-of-the-match: Shaun Whitfield, Richard Tebbutt, Ryan Price.
St. Clears U12s 1 Tenby U12s 8
Tenby crossed the border for a top-of-the-table clash with St. Clears on Saturday and returned with three points and another hatful of goals.
Up against a well organised side who hadn't conceded a goal in five matches, Tenby upped the tempo of their passing and movement and quickly took control of the game.
Having forced a couple of corners, Tenby deservedly opened the scoring when Declan Escott picked up a loose goal kick on the edge of the area and fired in.
A deft flick from Scott Ferney soon created a second for the Seasiders, with Lloyd Hughes running through the defence to volley into the roof of the net.
As the Tenby pressure mounted, St. Clears defended in numbers, but Declan Escott made himself space on the edge of the area and curled a beauty into the top left-hand corner for 3-0.
St. Clears still made a game of it, with their forwards constantly shifting positions and trying to unsettle the Tenby defence. But Owen Coombs gave a commanding performance in the centre for Tenby, and sweeper Sam Perrett showed good awareness to thwart any counter-attacks.
As the goal tally rose, wingbacks Tom Harries and Luke Hartland pushed forward to support wide-men Spencer Williams and Adam John, who bagged a fourth for Tenby with a neat close range shot just inside the left post after good work from Dylan Rees.
At the beginning of the second half, Adam John then set up Tenby's fifth with a clever pass back to Declan Escott, who fired in his second. The striker then repaid the favour, feeding Adam John to make it 6-0. And Lloyd Hughes added Tenby's seventh, with another well-controlled volley.
Towards the end, Adam Muskett and Jake Morgan came off the subs bench, and as Tenby reorganised their formation, the game started to become more stretched.
Dylan Rees and Owen Coombs stayed strong as ever in the centre of the park, and soaked up the pressure. And an end-to-end move of one-touch passes enabled Adam John to complete his hat-trick.
St. Clears scrambled in a late consolation goal, after a dipping cross from the right. It was slightly unlucky for Tenby 'keeper Will Davies, who had hardly had a touch of the ball in the preceeding 55 minutes, but it didn't take the shine off another first class Tenby performance.
Many thanks to all the parents who made the trek to Carmarthenshire to support the boys, and to Park Road Fish and Chips, who are generous sponsors of the U12s' training kit, tracksuits and match kit.
