NEYLAND U15s 0 TENBY U15s 8
Tenby Under 15s, sponsored by Willow Carpentry, played their last game of the season across the Cleddau at Neyland. This result saw them finish runners-up in the league to winners, Camrose. Ashley Andrews opened the scoring for the Seasiders when he curled in a free-kick from just outside the box. This lead was extended when Declan Carroll threaded the perfect pass to Will Thomas, who made no mistake from 10 yards. Stand-in goalie, Alex Heesom, set up the next goal when his long clearance fell nicely to Andrews, who crossed to Jordan Richards to flick in at the near post. Tenby were well in command at this point and were playing good controlled football. Richards was on hand to score number four, following some neat passing between Ashley Smith, Dan Edwards and Carroll. The final goal of the half came courtesy of Johnnie Delahunty, whose rampaging run saw him charge down an attempted clearance and thump the ball into the back of the Neyland goal. The second half was much like the first, but the home side defended a lot tighter and restricted Tenby to only three goals. However, the red and blacks were guilty of missing some easy opportunities which would have seen them reach double figures. Richards hit another hat-trick when his midfield partner, Carroll, set him up after a mazy run and straight from the restart, Andrews sprinted through after robbing Neyland of the ball to place his shot wide of the advancing home 'keeper. The last goal fell to super sub, Rob Fairlie, when a corner was only half cleared and he toe-poked in from six yards. Tenby's last game is in the Under 15s Cup Final against Johnston at Pembroke Borough tonight (Friday) at 6.15 pm. Tenby side: A. Heesom, A. Roberts, C. Hurlow, P. Elliott, D. Edwards, A. Andrews, D. Carroll, J. Richards, J. Delahunty, W. Thomas, A. Smith, R. Fairlie, P. Horsley.
TENBY Under 9s 5 SOLVA 2
Playing away on a cold, but sunny morning, the match against Solva turned out to be a great game of football. The first half started well, with some great football being played by both teams. The boys defended and tackled well, but attempts to get possession of the ball proved challenging on times. A great cross from Ryan Conbeer nearly got Tenby off the mark, but just went wide. Elliott Moorhouse, Jack Broadhurst and Tom James defended well in their positions. However, it was a goal by Solva that made them ever more determined to equalise, and shortly afterwards, a cracking goal by Ryan Conbeer soon followed. Quickening their pace with some fantastic runs by Danny Wainwright and Toby Poole enabled some great shots on goal which just went over the bar. Tom Murphy and Caie Elms had some great runs and controlled the ball well. A brilliant run by Ryan saw him cross to Toby Poole, who passed to Danny Wainwright whose shot again just went over the bar. Great defensive work by Jack Broadhurst and Tom James continued to push the ball forward into the Solva half. Tenby's second goal came from Elliott Moorhouse after a great run and shot on goal. James Harries's goalkeeping skills kept the opposition at bay on several occasions. There were great headers and defending from Caie Elms, who plays well in his position. It was certainly Ryan Conbeer's day as a further two goals were scored by him following some great runs and fantastic controlled shots. The whistle blew for the end of the first half with the Seasiders 4-1 up. The second half saw some player changes, the pace quickening and two great shots by Danny Wainwright and Toby Poole just going wide. Great defence by Elliott and Jack Broadhurst, with a great header coming from Elliott, saw the Seasiders continue to push into the Solva half. Ben Palin came on and played some great football, with great runs down the line. Tenby's fifth and final goal came after a cracking shot by Ryan Conbeer. Solva's second goal came shortly after. When the final whistle blew, the score stood at 5-2 to the Seasiders. Team: Ryan Conbeer, Elliott Moorhouse, Toby Poole, Tom Murphy, Danny Wainwright, Ben Palin, Caie Elms, Jack Broadhurst, Tom James and James Harries. Thanks go to coach Carl Wainwright and to all parents for their continued support.

TENBY U13s 12 HUNDLETON U13s 2 Sun glasses for the final league game of the season. Would the players be tired and sore after the previous night's exertions? No way! Team spirit higher than ever, silly grins on everyone's faces, Hundleton didn't stand a chance. Joe opened the scoring - yet again, and then it was a procession of goals - 6-1 up at half-time, the visitors rarely threatened and Tenby ran out easy winners. The last quarter of the match saw George come out of goal, replaced by Toby, and then everyone played striker. Jack finally ended up between the posts as the final whistle of the league season was blown - everyone in high spirits and wanting to continue the game. What players! Joe eventually scored a hat-trick; Toby, Jack and Hugo had a brace apiece; one each for Jerome and Rhys, with the popular Nathan taking the last goal of the match and the league season. A truly impressive performance after the energy- sapping cup match. Well done. Massive thanks to coach John, who reffed impeccably, Ted on the line, the ever-present touchline gang, but again team spirit, strength, skill and commitment made it possible. Squad: George McBeth, Cheyne Lloyd, Tom Grover, Jack Murphy (capt.), Sam Butler, Hugo Wellum, Toby Rossiter, David Webb, Rhys Nicholas, Jerome Mansbridge, Joe Worley, Corey Morris, Nathan Farmiloe.
