A popular musical duo from Tenby are doing their bit for the NHS with a live session every Thursday evening during the community ‘clap for carers’.
‘Ella Guru’ husband and wife pair Richie and Arleen Westmacott have been appearing ‘live on the drive’ at their home in The Glebe pleasing neighbours with their impromptu acoustic gigs.
They have also reached an audience further afield in places such as America and Australia by broadcasting the performances on live on Facebook.
To say a further thank you to front line workers, the couple have set up an online donation page in aid of Hywel Dda Health Charities.
“Many people have asked if we could put a collection bucket out - obviously that has its risks at the moment so we decided to make a just giving page, and hopefully we can help the NHS whilst lifting your spirits as we go,” exlained Arleen.
“The atmosphere is brilliant, and it’s great that what we do best is helping to cheer people up - and it keeps us in practice until we can start gigging again,” added Richie, a well known face behind the counter at Dales Music Store on Tenby High Street.
The Live on the Drive gigs start at 7.30 pm every Thursday (weather permitting) and can be viewed via Arleen Westmacott’s Facebook page.
