Tenby Town Councillors have re-considered their views on proposals for a ‘retro gaming lounge’ for the seaside town, after now recommending approval for the plans.

The application [Reference: NP/25/0713/FUL] for a proposed ‘Change of Use’ of the existing building (Poundland) from (A1) to Retro Gaming Lounge (Unique Use), at the former Gatehouse (Playhouse) Cinema on White Lion Street came before members of the Town Council once again at their recent meeting.

Councillors expressed concern at the loss of retail but agreed that this would be a welcome amenity to the town as a wet weather and family entertainment venue.

All were in favour of recommending approval.

When discussing the plans previously, councillors had voiced their concerns over potential noise and parking issues.
