Tenby’s Boxing Day Swim has provided a boost for a Pembrokeshire Hospice at Home charity

The popular Boxing Day swim held annually at North Beach is organised to raise vital funds for worthy charities by the Tenby Sea Swimming Association (TSSA), which has also staged the summertime Caldey Swim, to the monastic island in the past.

These two events have enabled TSSA to raise nearly £300,000 for local, national and international charities and good causes over the years.

The Boxing Day swimmers can choose to collect for their own good cause, or to support the charities nominated by TSSA.

The Boxing Day Swim has taken place for over 50 years now, and in 2022 Paul Sartori Foundation were chosen as one of their charities.

Amanda-Jane Myatt, Paul Sartori Store Manager recently met up with Nicole Evans, TSSA to receive a cheque for £1,000.

Nicole said: “The TSSA chose Paul Sartori Foundation in association with St Marys Church in Tenby, as Paul Sartori Foundation are their chosen Charity, and also because of the work they do in our community. They are helping lots of people we know.”

“It is through the generosity of the local community that we are able to continue to provide end-of-life care to Pembrokeshire people.”
