Last week's meeting at a very cold St. Florence Village Hall was a mini competition, followed by a selection of projected images for a forthcoming external competition, and then a viewing of the Welsh Salon of Photography Projected Images.
Members voted on the mini competition, which was based on images taken on the recent studio night, and the winners were: 1. Andrew Baxter; 2. Roy Packer; 3. Roger Toon; 4. David Warren.
After a break for refreshments, members enjoyed viewing the selection of images which the club is submitting for competition to be held in Scotland shortly.
This was followed by a viewing of the Welsh Salon Digital Images from around the world. The standard was very high and everyone was delighted to see some images from members of their own club among the selection.
The next meeting, by which time members hope the heating will be fixed, will be Ronnie Powell's legendary Christmas quiz and social evening on Thursday, December 18, in celebration of the Christmas season.
There will be a buffet, so everyone is asked to bring partners and friends, as well as food to share.
There will then be a break for Christmas and the New Year, and meetings begin again on January 8, with a studio night, so bring along your camera and tripod to that meeting.
