The first meeting of the Camera Club after the Christmas break took place at St. Florence Village Hall last Thursday evening. The evening was a results night, for the competition of a Panel of Prints. Each entrant submitted a panel of five prints, on any subject. The panels were judged by Barry Lewis. An excellent selection of panels was presented, starting with a series of photographs, entitled 'RS200 Launch', showing the launch of sailing dinghies from the beach. These were followed by two panels in black and white, entitled 'Black & Light' and 'Mynedd Prescelli'. The next set was entitled 'Maverick', and then it was back to black and white, but this time with a difference, a touch of red, in each of the photographs. This set was entitled 'Sometimes I Just See Red', and it came third, scoring 85/100. These panels were by Alan Jones. Then the entry called 'Tree Trunk Patterns', by Lynda Perry, scored 88/100; it came second, and first place was awarded to Philippe Kirchherr, with a stunning panel of seascapes, with a score of 96/ 100. The judge was delighted with the high standard of work submitted and hoped to be invited to attend again. The next meeting will be a club night, to select images for external competitions, with an open discussion. Everyone is welcome to the meetings, and further information can be found on the website http://www.tenby-camera-club.co.uk">www.tenby-camera-club.co.uk
