Results, Wednesday, July 11: 1. Jill and John O'Sullivan 71.53 per cent; 2. Nicky Hancock and Peter Oeppen 63.54; 3. Margaret Davies and Brenda Harris 56.25; 4. Betty and John Isaac 54.86; 5. Carmel Wiseman and Graham Hadlow 53.85. Some of the club's players have dual membership with the Haverfordwest club and on the June 24, eight of them formed a squad to enter the Welsh 'Teams of Eight' tournament at Builth Wells. To their delight and the club's, they were victorious, coming a convincing first in a very competitive event. The team was Eric Hartland, Lee Collier, Ian Haston, Peter Milewski, Mike Baker, Steve Jarvis, Jill and John O'Sullivan - didn't they do well. Friday, July 13: With seven tables in play, Friday night bridge is certainly becoming very popular with members, especially following Wednesday's eight tables. Perhaps it is the early onset of winter driving them indoors. Let's hope the weather improves for the summer barbeque/bridge party on August 5. There are still a few tickets available from Tina.
