RNLI lifeguards, coastguards and ambulance paramedics attended Tenby's Castle Beach on Tuesday afternoon to assist a 17-year-old girl who passed out near the lifeguard beach unit.
Lifeguards Geraint Rees and Oli Simon, who were on duty at the time, gave the casualty oxygen after she started complaining of chest pains.
Geraint, a senior lifeguard, commented: "The casualty was just returning from a swim when the incident happened.
"She was experiencing earache, blurred vision and chest pains.
"A team from the coastguard arrived and the casualty was taken to hospital in an ambulance."
