Thank yous: Thank you to the pool’s fundraising team for taking the time to organise fun events at the pool and raising so much money and to all those who support the events.
Events: Fun Day Monday - We will be celebrating Civic Week at the pool. Do you have any suggestions for the event? Will you sponsor the event or an activity? Can you donate cakes, burgers or buns? Can you donate a raffle prize? Can you help out on the day? Do you have access to match-funding for the money we raise? If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these - please get in touch. Thank you!
Civic Week children’s movie - We are looking at repeating this fun and successful event again this year. Any suggestions for a suitable film?

News Splash - Swimnarberth development: We completed our first year of trading on October 31. 2015. The biomass boiler has been installed and is supplying heat to the pool from green sustainable energy. Narberth Energy Ltd. will be holding their first annual shareholders meeting this month. For more info.go to www.narberthenergy.co.uk.
SwimNarberth has 148 PV panels on the roof, which are supplying energy direct to the grid and providing a sustainable income to the pool. This was made possible thanks to, two very large private trust donations, initial donations from hundreds of people who did not buy shares, but wanted to help save the pool, and the terrific amount of fund-raising by the Friends of Narberth Pool (FoNP), which is an ongoing campaign. We are now in the second year of trading and attempting to access government grants, from the Welsh Assembly Government and others, to help us to complete our five-year plan to make the pool a viable, self-sustaining community facility, for future generations. You can see the plans that have already been passed for improving the building in the meeting room at the pool. Watch this space and our web site, we will be having our first annual general meeting soon. (Sue).
Well done: Congratulations and thanks to Jenny Goodchild for completing her Food Safety - CIEH Level 2, so that the Friends of Narberth Pool can continue to sell cakes.
We do need more volunteers to go on this course when it comes up next, so if anyone would like to do it, please contact Sam at the pool. If any volunteers already have the qualification, please let Sam have a copy of your certificate. Thank you.
Congratulations to Diane Phillips, our volunteer lifeguard, on passing her swimming teacher level 1. She will replace Jennifer taking the after school lessons.
Congratulations to Mel Williams on passing her swimming teacher level 1.
Congratulations to Helena Warne and Rosie Myers on passing their lifeguard exams.
Well done and thank you all.
