TWO marathons in 25 minutes - that's the New Year's Day achievement of Russ Turner.

Raising money for RNLI Saundersfoot branch, he completed both the Amroth and Saundersfoot New Year's Day Swims.

Said Russ: "After going in at Amroth at 12.30, I ran up the hill and across the cliff path, down through Wiseman's Bridge, through the tunnels and across the beach at Saundersfoot to join the New Year's Swim there. It took just under 20 minutes to run between the two."

Now living in Bristol, Russ grew up in Saundersfoot and attended Greenhill School. He has family in Saundersfoot and Tenby.

He has raised around £150 for the RNLI so far.

"This was my eighth Saundersfoot swim, and I have previously completed Ironman and long distance mountain bike events for RNLI Saundersfoot branch," added Russ, who is seen with Saundersfoot Swim mascot, Charlie Shivers
