Last Sunday was the annual walk around Llys-y-Fran Reservoir for Diabetes UK Cymru.
"Although the number of walkers was down on previous years, we were blessed with a dry and suny day, but the poor weather conditions of the past few weeks resulted in very muddy conditions," said walk organiser Maureen Worcester.
The money raised at these walks goes into research projects underway for the control of Diabetes, which affects over two-milion people in the UK, and is on the increase.
The Tenby and District Branch committee would like to thank everyone who volunteered to run the refreshment stations, all who donated raffle prizes, and the local supermarkets for donations of squash and biscuits.
Once again a thank you goes to Mike Worcester, of Stepaside Coachworks, for his hard work on the day, and use of the 4x4 vehicle, and finally a big thank you to all who walked and helped raise much needed funds.
The next fundraising event is to be a 'car treasure hunt' which will be held on Friday, June 29. Contact 01834 812491/812025 or 01834 812132 for details.
