A nine times Mayor of Tenby has given her heartfelt thanks to the community, after calling it a day as a Town Councillor this week.
Cllr Sue Lane had given 36 years service as a Town Councillor and was the current Deputy Mayor when she was one of five councillors that handed in their resignations to Tenby Town Council on Tuesday night (February 8).
“I would like to thank all the electorate, local residents and Tenby organisations who have supported my 36 years as a Town Councillor,” she said.
“I have always strived to carry out my Council duties with dignity, integrity and decorum to the best of my ability.
“I would also like to mention my children - Sian, Doug and Jonathan who have backed me throughout, I would like to think that I have done them proud!
“Very sincerely yours, Sue Lane,” she added.
Mrs Lane said she would continue her role as chair of Tenby in Bloom and looked forward to floral planning for the seaside town ahead of another busy season.
