After eight rounds over four days, the winner of a close 36 hole final in the 2010 Welsh Amateur Championship was promising youngster Alastair Jones from Radyr Golf Club who beat Welsh number one Oliver Farr from Ludlow Golf Club.
Alastair was ahead for most of the final and eventually closed out Oliver on the 35th hole.
In his winner's speech, Alastair was very complimentary on the excellent condition of the course and catering and thanked everyone involved for the smooth running of the championship.
The club is very pleased to have hosted this prestigious event and looks forward to welcoming the British Ladies Amateur Strokeplay Championship commencing on Wednesday, August 18.
