Police, coastguards and the inshore lifeboat crew were called out on Tuesday to help four youngsters stranded on St. Catherine's Island.
The four, three boys and a girl, all aged between 12 and 14, were reported to be in a precarious position on the west side of the island at approximately 5 pm.
On the arrival of the Tenby coastguard team, two police officers and a member of the inshore lifeboat crew were already with the casualties and after coastguards rigged up a handrail they were escorted off the island safely.
The four, two brothers from Bristol and a brother and sister from Newport, Gwent, were spoken to by coastguards and police before being taken back to the address where they were staying in the town with their parents.
