Saturday's Steps2Health walk was blessed with a beautiful sunny day and 35 enthusiastic walkers met outside for our amble this week (writes P.E.). We went on a circular town walk, which was led by walker leader Penny Evans and assisted by walk leaders Janice Tooth and Gill Cole. The walkers were in good spirits and stepped out at a steady pace, enjoying the fabulous day and good company of fellow walkers.
The walk progressed along Lower Park Road, through the Salterns and across the road onto Marsh Road, cutting through to Knowling Mead and then walking along the footpath leading to Heywood Lane.
The Steps2Health walkers then made their way along the Narberth Road and onto the Norton, turning into Gas Lane and walking through the car park and up the track onto the Croft. Here we stopped briefly to enjoy the wonderful sea view across the harbour.
The final leg of our walk took us down the zig zag and along the North Walk, finishing at the harbour, where most of the walkers enjoyed coffee and refreshments at 'The Harbour Cafe'. A most pleasant walk enjoyed by all who came.
Tomorrow's (Saturday's) walk will be from New Hedges Village Hall, commencing approximately at 10.45 am. Walkers meet in Upper Park Road at 10.25 am to catch the Silcox 352 bus, leaving Tenby 10.30 am prompt. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear for your own comfort.
