The Silcox bus driver was heard to murmur what could be the attraction at New Hedges as Steps2Health walkers queued up to board the bus which set off with some having to stand (writes B.S.).

It was, of course, the starting point for Saturday's walk. And there was a good turnout in spite of the fact that some of the regular walkers were involved with the Tenby Flower Arrangers coffee morning at Church House.

Fortunately, the weather stayed dry and so no problems were encountered by those who decided to follow Margaret and Lyn back to Tenby via the coast path.

It has to be admitted that the majority chose the easier option of taking the old road back to town, accompanied by Val, Jill and Penny. No longer the main route into Tenby, the deepset lane provides a peaceful, rural backwater in contrast to the noisy busy highway not so far away.

Refreshments were available at The Albany, but some walkers made their way to Church House to view the flower arrangements.
