As well as looking around all the tanks and vivariums, the children were given a talk on an appropriate subject and undertook interactive activities.
These visits are very informative and as you will see from the photograph the children get a 'hands on' experience.
Most children find the whole set up totally absorbing while also learning more about these fascinating creatures.
An affiliate of Silent World is SWWRAG (South West Wales Reptile and Amphibian Group) whose aim is to promote the welfare and enhance the status of all reptiles and amphibians in captivity and the wild.
Tomorrow (Saturday) it is annual show time at Silent World when, along with all the usual creatures, there will be members of SWWRAG with some of their own pets who will discuss the correct way to keep them in your home. Even those not interested in obtaining a pet will find the whole experience well worthwhile, so go along from noon onwards and see what they have to offer.
