Sir, I write to correct last week's correspondent Richard Lawrence who quoted me as saying of Tenby's old lifeboat station: 'Pull it down'. I have never said that the old station should be knocked down - but instead have argued that the RNLI should not be saddled with the £6,000 annual bill of maintaining it. I agree with Mr Lawrence that the 'red roofed hut' is a part of Tenby's history and it would be great if someone was to turn it into a lifeboat museum or other such tourist attraction. But whatever happens, the RNLI should be spending their money on saving lives at sea, not preserving old buildings. Angela Burns AM
