Last Friday, an entertainment evening was staged at Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock,
The event, organised by community fundraiser Peter Kraus, was held to try and raise £2,500 towards the cost of sending 26 members of Pennar Community School to Disneyland Paris, where they have been invited to sing in March this year. The ages of the children range from five to nine years.
The show was a sellout. There were many artists performing, including Stuart Rogers (Little Monsters), with Stuart also MC for the night, Kelly Williams Dance Group, Dave Hitchcott (magician), Rick Berry and the Retrospex, Emily Kaijaks and her band, Ed Owen (Elvis), Ryan Llewellyn (guitar) and finally the fantastic Pennar School Choir themselves
"Without these artists who gave their time free, none of this would have been possible," said Peter.
"Now the children can have their dream come true and sing their little hearts out and have a trip of a lifetime. It has been an absolute pleasure to help the school. May I wish the headmaster, Mr. Damon McGarvie, and all at Pennar Community School all the best for the future."
