The September meeting was held in the Sun Lounge of the Regency Hall. Jean Picton, president, welcomed members. After singing Jerusalem, apologies for absence were noted. Minutes of the July meeting were read, and business matters were dealt with. The educational trip to Tredegar House (Newport) was a great success. Jean Picton introduced Ann Revie, speaker for the afternoon, who gave a most interesting insight about life within the Tower of London, where, as a child, she had spent many of her summer holidays. A vote of thanks was given by Pat Wood. The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 16, at 2 pm, in the Sun Lounge of the Regency Hall, when Wendy Goldsworthy will talk about the Milford Waterways. The competition is seashells. New members are always welcome. For further details, ring (01834) 810070.
