SUNDAY RACING
Last weekend was fairly quiet around the clubhouse due to the regatta being held at Laugharne. Apologies for not having any results to hand, I will fill you in next week.
There were to have been two races in Saundersfoot on Sunday morning, but due to very poor visibility it was decided to abandon these.
WHIST
A good turnout again for whist last Monday, with prizes as follows: highest score - M. Whitaker; first lady - G. Irvine; second lady - shared between K. Sutcliffe and E. Jones; first gent - J. Davies; second gent - R. Jones; lowest score - W. Thomas.
There was a tie for longest sitter, but as Mrs. Fender had won two raffle prizes she kindly agreed the prize should go to P. Quinsee.
There will be no whist this Monday (20th) as we have a National Championship on all week, but we will be back again, hopefully in full force, on Monday, August 27.
Do come along and join us, doors open 7 pm and game starts 7.30 prompt.
LARKS
Preparations are well underway for this big event in Saundersfoot. There is much to do to make the week a success, so if you can help at any time in any way, please let us know as soon as possible.
The clubhouse will be open from Friday afternoon onwards, so please come along and offer your services.
There will be a programme of events in the clubhouse; it will be a very hectic but fun week, so do join in if you possibly can. See you around the clubhouse.
