SAIL TRAINING
Last Saturday, the wind was gusty, so the least experienced sailors stayed in the safety boats and had a 'virtual' experience! Most sailors enjoyed the challenges the shifting winds presented.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we are running sail training from 3-7 pm.
On Saturday, May 12, we will be welcoming beginners at the clubhouse at 10.30 am, finishing at 1 pm.
If you are interested in having a go, this session should be a useful taster of the sport.

SSC AT TSC
Last Saturday we visited Tenby Sailing Club for a social evening. After mingling and discussing the club's latest waterproof radios, we were entertained with a 'not so general' knowledge quiz which certainly made us ready for the excellent spread of food laid on for us.
It was then time to see how alert everyone still was with some number games and the evening was rounded off with a raffle.
Thanks to everyone for a great evening, we look forward to seeing you all again on May 12, when you join us at Saundersfoot.
SUNDAY RACING
There were two races last Sunday in sunny, but cold conditions with a north-westerly wind of 3-4.
The course was set at PMH x 4 which turned out to be wishful thinking as the course was shortened to two laps which took between 40:47 minutes and 54:40 minutes to complete.
For race two, the course was left at PMH, but with a try for three laps this time.
Again the course was shortened to two laps that were slightly faster, between 38:07 minutes and 52.19 minutes.
This Sunday there is one race starting at 5 pm.
WHIST
Last Monday there was a good turn-out of whisters, although it would be even better if we saw some of our club members supporting the evening.
Highest scorer - M. Atkins; first lady - G. Irvine; second lady - E. Jones; first gent - J. Davies; second gent - P. Quinsee; booby - V. Burrows; longest sitter - B. Stroud.
There will be a game this Monday (May 7) starting at 7.30 pm prompt. Come along and join in the fun.
