Like so many similar organisations, Saundersfoot Rotary Club has been holding meetings via Zoom during the lockdown period. Members have been meeting every second Monday at 7.30 pm, often with guest speakers in attendance.
On Wednesday, August 4, they met at the Regency Hall whilst conforming to strict Covid rules and regulations for a talk and demonstration being given by Mr. Tony Wall, who is First Responder for the Tenby and Saundersfoot areas. He demonstrated the use and application of a defibrillator unit to members of the club.
As a result of his clear and informative presentation, it was decided to invest in a unit for club use. Everyone is well aware of health and safety issues when meeting the general public.
The new unit will accompany medmbers at all events they are involved in within Saundersfoot. Please rest assured that the safety of everyone attending any of the club’s events is high on the list of priorities. Please enjoy and be safe when attending the club’s charity fund -raising .
The Duck Races and Pig Roasts are popular features of the holiday season in the village and as a reminder the next one will be held on Friday, August 27, at Saundersfoot Harbour, with other charitable organisations also attending.
Sincere thanks go to Tony Wall for his help and knowledgeable guidance. The picture shows Tony demonstrating the unit to members of Saundersfoot Rotary Club.
