The annual general meeting of the Saundersfoot branch of RNLI was held recently at the Sports and Social Club, Saundersfoot.

The officers gave their reports of the past 12 months. Everyone was delighted to discover that £15,707 profit was made for the year, an increase on 2012. £3,358 was generated by souvenir sales, with a total of 524 packs of Christmas cards being sold. A further £2,741 was donated via box collections.

The committee would like to thank all the local people and businesses who support the branch, and made 2012 such a successful year.

Committee officers for 2013 are: president and box secretary - Mrs. Monica McDowall; chair - Mrs. Pam Roberts; vice-chair and souvenir secretary - Mrs. Pam Mortimer; treasurer - Mrs. Pauline Hunting; secretary and PR - Miss Sam Turner; Flag Week - Mrs. Liz Talboys; box assistants - Mrs. Eileen Plester and Mrs. Helen Baggott.

Plans are well underway for the coming 12 months, with the next events being the spring lunch at Wiseman's Bridge Inn in May, followed by a Brew for the Crew at the Saundersfoot Sailing Club.

The souvenirs stall will commence on the beach slipway at the end of May and will be out each Tuesday and Thursday during the summer months (weather permitting).
