A Saundersfoot charity gig with Pure Bee Gees, the hottest tribute to the Brothers Gibb, is a already a sellout. The event takes place at the village's Regency Hall on April 12. Organised by Saundersfoot Festivities, the proceeds of this charity event are going to the Gareth Scotcher Fund and Saundersfoot School, who are benefiting with new netball kits for the sports department. Saundersfoot Fesivities would like to thank local businesses and individuals who have sold tickets for this event. "It is a 320 sellout, with the majority of people deciding to come in fancy dress for the event," said main organiser, Chris Williams, of Saundersfoot Festivities, who reminds event-goers that fancy dress outfits are available at Griggles, Tenby, if you are unable to conjure up something from your wardrobe! Added Chris: "During the night, we will also have DJ Billy on the disco to warm up the dancing, while Benny Bond has again kindly offered his services as compere. There will be an extra bar in the hall on the night, courtesy of Roger at the sports club." Chris would like to thank Folly Farm and Oakwood who have donated family passes for the raffle on the night. A bottle of champane awaits the best fancy dress outfit, while there is a £2 fine for the charity fund for those who choose not to dress up. "Dylan Lawerance will automatically have to pay the £2 because we won't be able to tell or not whether he is in fancy dress!" said Chris. Doors open on the night at 8 pm, with the Bee Gees on stage around 9 pm. There will be food available on the night thanks to Julie from Manorbier Tea Rooms who is providing warm snacks throughout the evening. The festivities association is delighted with the response to this event and the last one in November which was also a sellout. Continued Chris: "This time we are hoping to reach the £3,000 mark on the night. Any outstanding ticket money would be greatly appreciated by the end of the week. The festivities association has decided to put four tickets up for the highest bidder on E-Bay, so those of you who are desperate to go, get bidding!" In August this year, there is another fantastic event booked already, details to follow. Proceeds of the event will go to The Pink Pub (Chemist Inn, Saundersfoot) who are raising money for Breast Cancer. Saundersfoot Footlights will also benefit. "Thank you all for your support and if anybody can't make it after buying the tickets, please drop them into Saundersfoot Sports Club as there is a waiting list," added Chris.
