MEN'S MEETING

A good number of members attended the pre-season men's business meeting at the clubhouse last Sunday morning.

Chairman Paul Blayney welcomed three new members and informed everyone that the green was officially opening at 2 pm on Saturday, April 11.

The club has a full fixture list, with not only the league games, but also an excess of 20 friendly games, with still some clubs expressing a wish to play on the Saundersfoot green if they can be fitted in!

The Saundersfoot Division One team this year will be captained by Macky Brace, with Don Poole and Paul Blayney as his co-selectors, while the St. Issell's Division Two side will be captained by Stewart Howe, with John Austin and Billy Glynn assisting on selection.

The friendly fixtures will be looked after by John Austin, who will co-opt several people to assist him.

Stew Howe was thanked for all his hard work in arranging the fixture list, as was club treasurer George Cavell for the sponsorship he has worked so hard to get.

The meeting closed with chairman Paul wishing everyone a successful season, with hopefully some warm, dry weather to look forward to.
