A Sainsbury's London colleague has travelled to Tenby to give a special Easter gift to two local charities.

Joe Callaghan, who works as an IT shift leader at Sainsbury's Store Support Centre in Holborn, London, travelled an amazing 1,824 miles - the equivalent of cycling from London to Greenland! - across six days on motorbike to spread Easter cheer to charities supported by four Sainsbury's stores.

On Saturday, Joe travelled 352 miles from his first store destination in Helston, to Sainsbury's, Tenby.

On arrival, Joe helped to give a happy Easter by presenting 50 Easter eggs to fundraisers at Tenby Youth Group and Avenue Centre. The chocolate delights included KitKat Chunky, Smarties, Mini Egg and Cadbury's Mini Eggs, from money raised through sponsorship.

Joe's incredible journey began at 9 am on Thursday, April 14.

After the presentation at the Tenby store, Joe hopped back on his bike to travel 517 miles to the third store on his map, which is Sainsbury's, Berryden, in Scotland. Joe was scheduled to return to the Store Support Centre on Wednesday, April 20.

Joe, 45, said: "Back in September, I set myself the task to travel across the country to provide Easter cheer to children in need across the UK. I'm delighted to be working with Sainsbury's Tenby during my journey and I hope these gifts will help to give children at the Tenby Youth Group and Avenue Centre an Easter to remember."
