Sir,
I and other visitors to Tenby waited in vain in the rain in Bridge Street for a glimpse of Prince Charles on his return from the museum. Our opportunity was foiled by a police car which stopped parallel to the barriers, blocking our view. This was entirely unnecessary since the patrol car could have stopped and waited in the opening to Crackwell Street which was free from traffic in either direction.
I had thought of asking the officers to move the vehicle, but on reflection reckoned that they would be sensible enough to see that they were obstructing our view, and would move off before the Prince's car reached us.
Yours disappointed.
Jonathan Switzer.
