Speaker at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot was Mr. John Davis, who spoke about the 'Harriet Davis Trust'.
The charitable trust was founded in the name of Harriet, the daughter of Mr. Davis, and who was severely disabled and died at the age of 11. The objective of the trust is the provision of properties in seaside locations, suitably adapted and equipped to enable disabled children and their families and carers to enjoy the benefits of self-catering seaside holidays.
There are four such properties, all in Pembrokeshire - 'Harriet House', Castle Square, Tenby; 'Giltar View', Southcliffe Street, Tenby; 'The Wheelabout', Penally; and 'Caerwen', Narberth.
Mr. Davis is pictured above receiving a cheque for £250 for the trust from Rotary Club president, Rotarian Ian Nicholls, along with past presidents Rotarian Gwnfor Davies and Rotarian Howard Griffiths.
