ALTHOUGH the temperatures may have been freezing cold, Tenby adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope, received a warm welcome when she arrived at the latest destination on her round-the-world trip.
Fifty-nine-year-old Rosie arrived in White Mountain, Alaska, on Monday, where she was met by a large group of school children, who had made a banner to greet her.
Although suffering from frostbite, Rosie remains in good spirits and sent her love to everyone locally when she spoke to her friend, Ann Rowell, yesterday (Thursday).
"She has a new sledge, which is much lighter and enables her to sleep inside it at night," said Ann. "Rosie is expected to leave the 200-strong community at White Mountain today (Friday).
