Don't forget to hotfoot down to Whitland Dairy Club tonight (Friday) to see The Firebirds.

West Wales Rock 'n' Roll Club is doing a fantastic job in keeping the music of the '50s alive and kicking by bringing top flight bands into Whitland on the third Friday of each month, and this month is no exception with probably the best R'n'R band on the circuit - The Firebirds.

They will be supported by Jive Machine DJ playing classic dance tracks between sets and a large attendance is expected with fans travelling the length and breadth of the country.

Organiser Teri Stockton said: "The club caters for fans of all Jive styles from Lindy Hop to Rock 'n' Roll and more and more people are getting into the swing - no pun intended! Some wear period clothing but most turn up in modern garb, The atmosphere is very friendly and newcomers are made to feel very welcome."

Doors open at 7.30 pm and admission is just £10 (pay on the door).
