‘Treasures and Titbits’ was a hugely successful RNLI fundraising evening held recently by Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild, raising £700.

The ‘titbits finger buffet’ for over 60 guests was served and donated by Guild members.

It was a great pleasure to welcome Nigel Hodson, of Peter Francis Auctioneers, of Carmarthen, to give free valuation to guests on their ‘treasures.’

Nigel talked of his very interesting career path. His knowledge and experience in the antiques world is priceless in itself. Those present heard a fascinating story of some Chinese pieces that had come to him by chance, delivered in a cardboard box, which were extremely valuable! Other experiences, too, when items are not quite as authentic as deemed!

Pembroke Guild members wish to thank supporters attending with their many treasures and Nigel for making the event so personable and pleasurable. You can all be assured that funds raised are also ‘priceless’ to the RNLI. The sum of £700 can today buy two lifejackets for a Tamar lifeboat crew volunteer member.
