Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild were delighted to hold their first fundraising coffee morning at St. John’s Community Hall, Pembroke Dock, earlier this month.
The event was at the invitation of Community Hall Chair, Mrs. Vanessa Owen on Thursday July 15, and on arrival Guild members were very well looked after by Mr. Phil Tallett.
“It has been a great miss to Pembroke Guild not meeting our supporters for 17 months, so it was great to start again with them all at St. Johns - thanks to this very thoughtful invitation,” said Guild chair Daphne Bush.
“The coffee morning raised £115, with every penny going to the RNLI, all thanks to our very generous supporters and donations.
“£115 will buy numerous individual items of kit for lifeboat crew or lifeguards.
“On behalf of the RNLI, huge thanks again to Vanessa, Phil and everyone supporting the event. Your continuous support is priceless,” she added.
At the event, Glynis’s jewellery was donated for the raffle; Welsh Cakes were donated by Rachael, Philip and William; carrot cake by Marilyn Williams; along with marmalade, cakes, plants, coffee and tea by Sandra and Daphne.
The next fundraising coffee morning for the RNLI will be held on Thursday, August 26.
