A teenager from Llandissilio has been selected to play at an international football festival this Whitsun.
Nineteen-year-old Rhys Eynon will play for the UK Mencap team at a festival in Geneva over the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
Rhys's selection follows a recent visit to Warwick for trials and a spell earlier this month at a football training camp in Bridgend.
The teenager plays for the Cleddau Warriors Football Club, which plays in the South West Wales Disability league.
A student at Pembrokeshire College, he also recently designed the club's new kit.
Clr. Rob Lewis, cabinet member for sport, wished Rhys well.
"We are very proud of Rhys and his success," he said. "Everyone, and especially his teammates at Cleddau Warriors, wish him all the best at the festival."
