Sir,
Your correspondent, Alan Morris, made a very good point in your paper last week.
It was your 'friendly local county councillor' who voted for the enforcement of the draconian parking restrictions in Tenby and elsewhere, so give them the benefit of your opinions.
However, recently published in the Daily Mail and The Times were details of a website (http://www.noparkingfine.co.uk">www.noparkingfine.co.uk or 01772 895280) which seeks to advise on the legality of the 'ticket' as apparently 67 per cent of fines are 'likely to be legally invalid'.
We need a complete re-think as to whether the existing parking restrictions are really needed and at what times of the day and year they should operate.
Again, make your feelings clear to your PCC councillors whose telephone numbers can be found on the PCC website.
C.W. Johns,
Kilgetty
