Mid and West AM Simon Thomas celebrated the work of occupational therapists at an event at the Senedd building in Cardiff Bay - the launch of College of Occupational Therapists report on ‘Reducing the Pressure on Hospitals in Wales: The Value of Occupational Therapy’.
The report is part of a campaign showing how occupational therapists both improve lives for the people we work with and save public money.
Plaid Cymru Assembly Member Simon Thomas said: “It was fascinating to hear about the work of occupational therapy services in primary care and in A&E departments across Hywel Dda University Health Board. The services are really effective at helping older people stay at home and avoid inappropriate hospital admission.”
