Police have confirmed that they are investigating a fire which occurred at Pencoed Residential Home for the Elderly in Wooden on Tuesday evening. Firefighters from Tenby attended the home at approximately 8 pm, but the fire which was in one of the bedrooms was out on arrival. However, an inspection was carried out by the brigade. The fire was described as 'small' by a fire brigade spokesman. Police also attended and have since carried out forensic examinations at the scene. "We are treating the cause of the fire as suspicious," said a police spokesman.
