Sir, May I, once again, appeal through the medium of your columns, to the ever-generous folk of Tenby and district for their support of the Poppy Appeal 2005. This Poppy Appeal is the financial life-blood of the many welfare resources of the Royal British Legion, providing very necessary help to service, ex-service folk, and their dependants. Together with an aging ex-service population from World War II (and even some from World War I), our armed forces continue over the years to be heavily engaged in global operations, and calls on the welfare facilities of the Legion increase by the day. Please help by giving generously and wear your Flanders Poppy with pride in thankful remembrance of those who gave their all for us and also those who still suffer as a result of service.
