Plans to extend the microbrewery in Tenby have been recommended for approval by local councillors.
Discussing a planning application put forward by Mike Evans at a meeting of Tenby Town Council on Tuesday night, members agreed that plans to convert an existing vacant building alongside the Tenby Harbwr Craft Brewery and Taproom, located on Seargeant’s Lane near to the resort’s harbourside, would enhance the area further.
Members of Tenby Civic Society’s planning sub-committee have also welcomed the plans for the brewery, which was established in 2015, stating that the proposal will extend the ‘revitalisation’ of Sergeant’s Lane, especially if the alteration work matches the same standard as that carried out at the adjoining building.
“The retention of the style and features of the facade will retain the character of Sergeant’s Lane,” said Harry Gardiner, the Civic Society’s planning sub-committee chair.
The recommendations from both parties will now be passed onto the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, when considering the application.
